Jesus "Chuey" Rodriguez Alavarez
"Ever since I started working here, they have treated me like family." -Chuey
Jesus Rodriguez Alvarez, better known as Chuey, has worked at Frank Lumber since October of 1999. He has stepped into a variety of roles throughout his time at Frank Lumber, such as starting on the Green Chain, wrapping lumber in YardPak, operating carriers and forklifts, and eventually making his way to becoming a Loaderman.
Chuey's career is a perfect example of where hard work and commitment can take you. He formed strong relationships with his co-workers and employers and climbed his way up the ladder. He rarely misses a day of work and you wouldn't catch him arriving late to his shift. Every truck driver that comes to our mill emphasizes how quick and professional, yet easy going Chuey is, which makes the loading process easy and enjoyable.
His fellow co-workers notice that Chuey is always staying busy, even if that involves doing tasks outside of his job description. He has become someone that younger employees look to for guidance since he has experience in so many areas of the mill and is easy to get along with. The world needs more people like Chuey!
We are lucky he has spent the last 26 years working for Frank Lumber and look forward to many years to come!

Mike Ohrt
"I have worked for Frank Lumber my entire life. Nice place to work and caring owners." -Mike
Mike became part of the Frank Lumber family in 1977 and remained here for almost 5 decades. He spent the majority of his career as the Head Boiler Operator (32 years!), but began by pulling lumber on the Planer Chain. From there he moved to the sawmill as a Sawline Operator and later worked as a Sticker Stacker, working his way up to a position he was passionate about through hard work and dedication. His strong work ethic was partly fueled by caffeine. We always knew Mike was in the office if the coffee pot was empty.
Mike was one of the most dependable workers around. Everyone knew that if you needed him for anything he would drop what he was doing to help. He significantly contributed to smooth, efficient mill production and encouraged everyone around him to be as dedicated about Frank Lumber as he was. We are incredibly fortunate that he decided to work for our company for as long as he did and made an effort to pass his plentiful knowledge on to the next generation of committed workers.
Thank you for your 48 years of service, and we wish you the best in your retirement. We will keep a pot of hot coffee ready in case you stop by.
