Electrician

- Valid license in the State of Oregon as a General Journeyman and experience working in sawmills
- Experience with 480V/3PH, 2HP-500HP motors, and PLC-driven systems
- Working effectively with a team and communicating clearly
- Documenting modifications, repairs, and routine inspections
- Maintaining an organized work space and paying attention to details
- Performing routine maintenance and repairing or replacing the source of any detected electrical malfunctions in mill equipment
- Creating a safe work environment by ensuring everything is up to electrical codes
- Inspecting electrical equipment regularly to avoid future issues
- Installing electrical equipment and power distribution systems throughout the mill
- Updating outdated electrical systems to improve safety and performance

Forester
We are looking for a forester who is knowledgeable about western Oregon forestry, comfortable in a fast-paced environment, and enthusiastic to learn and grow with our company. Must be willing to work flexible hours and collaborate well with others.

- Typical Shift: Monday-Friday, occasionally Saturday. Roughly 80% in the field and 20% in the office
- Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Forest Operations, Engineering, Management, or a comparable alternative
- Experience: Applicants with minimal experience are encouraged to apply if they have at least a two-year forestry degree and motivation for professional growth
- Proficient understanding of the Oregon Forest Practices Act
- Current and valid US driver's license and comfortability driving in rough road conditions
- Adequate navigation skills with minimal to no cell service
- Familiarity with frequently used software (Word, Excel, ArcGIS Pro, Super Ace)
- Physically able to hike up steep, dense forest terrain for long durations
- Establishing and maintaining strong intercompany and community relationships
- Independently managing projects, solving problems, and making decisions under pressure
- Clear and effective communication, both verbal and written
- Identifying and flagging property lines
- Organizing and coordinating timber harvest unit layouts and plans (road layouts, maintenance projects)
- Managing logging and road building contractors
- Professionally working with government agencies to negotiate, prepare, and administer timber sale contracts and road easements
- Safely and proficiently operating a chainsaw, clearing road systems of fallen trees and brush if necessary
- Appraising timber harvests and road projects
- Assisting in other forest management related jobs (reforestation, cruising, fire suppression)
